Ron Kirwan Tribute Lunch

Ron Kirwan (21/10/41 – 15/04/16) passed away earlier this year of a sudden illness. He was a self made successful businessman but was most well known for his service to and support of The Essendon Football Club.

He was a Number One Ticket Holder, a Life member of Essendon Football Club and The Essendonians and The Essendon Past Players & Officials Association. He has 2 rooms at the new training and administration centre named in his honor – the coaches meeting room named The Ron Kirwan War Room and the player auditorium The Kirwan Auditorium. Ron Kirwan was a larger than life character, a fan of Elvis and flashy cars, whose generous support helped many.

He and his widow Sylvia and friends have attended OFLs and it is our honor to be involved in this tribute to, and celebration of Ron Kirwan. There will be a number of very notable Essendon guests in attendance. The charge for this Lunch is $50 with $15 going towards The Ron Kirwan Salesian College Scholarship.
