Peter Hudson, a proud Tasmanian, is arguably the game’s all time best Full Forward. He is the most prolific goalkicker who won the Coleman Medal four times while at Hawthorn, and holds numerous goalkicking records. He made his VFL debut playing against Carlton in 1967 on Percy’s old mate Wes Lofts. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 1979 and has been inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame, since being elevated to “Legend” status.

Mike Sheahan, the specialist football journalist, is a long time Herald Sun writer and now a key Fox Footy journalist with his own interview program Open Mike. He is also known for his bi-annual list of the top 50 players in the AFL for the season. He was commissioned by the AFL to compile a list of the Greatest 50 players of all time – that list includes Peter Hudson. The media centre at AFL House is named in Mike’s honour.

Peter Hudson, Mike Sheahan and Percy are a similar age (less than 13 months between them all). Peter & Percy started their football careers in Tasmania and are both in the Tasmanian Team of the Century.
